From a Simple Health Goal to Three 10Ks in Two Months: My Journey with CRG

Two months ago, I joined this group with a very simple intention — to begin a healthier lifestyle journey. I wanted to move more, stay consistent, and challenge myself just a little beyond my comfort zone. There was no grand ambition, no athletic target — just a quiet commitment to improve my overall well-being.

At that time, a small but intriguing question entered my mind: Can I even run a 10K?
That curiosity led me to register for the KD 10K — my first-ever official 10-kilometer event. It wasn’t about speed or competition. It was simply about finding out whether I could complete the distance.
Soon after registering, I came to know about CRG. I thought to myself, if I’m going to attempt a 10K, why not prepare properly and join a group that trains together? That decision turned out to be the turning point.
To be honest, I never had any intention of becoming a runner.
But once I became part of CRG, everything changed.
The energy within the group is something special. The discipline, the consistency, the early morning commitment, and the constant motivation from every member create an atmosphere where growth becomes natural. You don’t feel pressured or pushed beyond limits — you feel inspired to improve.
In just two months, what seemed like a distant possibility became reality:
I completed my first 10K at KD.
I exceeded my own expectations in that event.
I went on to complete my second 10K at Shilp.
And now, encouraged by the group, I am preparing to run my third 10K dedicated to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj during tomorrow’s MAF run.
What began as a simple health experiment has transformed into something much deeper.
Running is no longer just a form of exercise for me. It has become a passion. It has become an addiction — but one I am proud of.
This journey has not been an individual effort. It has been shaped by the collective spirit of CRG. The encouragement, positivity, discipline, and shared commitment within this community have made this transformation possible.
A heartfelt thank you to every member of CRG for creating an environment where ordinary individuals can discover extraordinary strength within themselves.
And this, I believe, is only the beginning.
